Bio

Dean RegenovichDean joined GW as the AVP of Planned Giving in November 2022. He has 30+ years of principal, major and planned gift experience as a manager and fundraiser. He has also served as National Director of Charitable Estate Planning for the March of Dimes, Vice President of Principal, Major and Planned Gifts at Indiana University, Assistant Dean for Advancement at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and Executive Director of Gift Planning at the Indiana University Foundation. He is an adjunct faculty member at the Fundraising School at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy where he teaches planned and major gift fundraising. Dean has an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law School, a JD from University of Illinois Chicago Law School, and a BS in accounting from Indiana University. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Indiana, and Florida and is a member of the U.S. Tax Court. Prior to joining the nonprofit sector he practiced law specializing in estate planning and taxation.

Adam LewisAdam Lewis is Executive Director of Planned Giving at GW, where he has worked since 2007. In this role, he works with a generous group of loyal alumni, faculty members, friends, and grateful patients, while also liaising with GW Athletics, GW Hillel, the Milken Institute School of Public Health, the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the School of Nursing.

Adam came to GW after working in development for the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington in Rockville, Md. He is a cum laude graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park, and holds a master's degree in higher education administration from GW's Graduate School of Education and Human Development. He is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® and is a former member of the board of directors of the National Capital Gift Planning Council.

Durriyyah JacksonDurriyyah is the Director of Development, Planned Giving, where she has worked since 2022. Her primary area of expertise is facilitating meaningful, philanthropic partnerships with individuals who desire to leave a lasting impact at GW. She also serves as the planned giving liaison to the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Prior to joining the Planned Giving team, she worked for over a decade in the GW School of Engineering and Applied Science building and stewarding relationships with some of the school’s most generous benefactors.

Durriyyah is a double GW alumna and a Fulbright Scholar. She holds certifications as a project management professional (PMP) and fundraising executive (CFRE). She is also a member of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.

Justine Van WieJustine Van Wie is Director, Gift and Estate Administration, and has been with the GW Office of Planned Giving since 2006. She manages estate administration, planned giving communications, donor stewardship, and Heritage Society events, among other responsibilities.

Justine is an alumna of St. Mary's College of Maryland and has completed a master's degree in clinical exercise physiology through GW's Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is a member of the National Capital Gift Planning Council and the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.

Margaret BatteyMargaret Battey joined the Office of Planned Giving in 2016, providing support to members of GW's Planned Giving team and managing planned giving print and digital marketing campaigns.

She has a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Dickinson College. Prior to joining GW, Margaret worked as a communications consultant, an account manager for a Washington-based public relations firm, and an advancement assistant at the Georgetown University Law Center.

Jane KolsonJane Kolson has been a member of GW’s Planned Giving staff since 2005. Prior to working at GW, she held positions at, among others, the Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington National Cathedral, Georgetown University, and Case Western Reserve University. She is a former board member of the National Capital Gift Planning Council and in 2020 received its Distinguished Service Award.

Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Allegheny College and an M.P.A. from Kent State University.
